Something Lacy

Just a quick post on this New Years Eve day! A final post for the year 2014 .... Boy! Did it go by fast!
For this card I used a new background stamp called Something Lacy ... isn't it pretty? And the lace you see on the bottom of the card is new as well.

Here is the inside of this card. ----

Pretty simple but pretty!
Hope you enjoyed your peek!
Come back in the New Year for lots more!

Have a Safe and Happy New years Eve.

Sneak Peek - Occasions 2015

Hi stampers and al....

Hasn't this weather been amazing? We traveled to the City for a couple days to visit with family and had amazing travel... sunny days and clear roads! Can't ask for any better than that! We had a wonderful Christmas ... I hope you all did as well.

I have a sneak peak from the 2015 Occasions Catalogue for you today. This set - Butterfly Basics - has many pieces to it ... today you will just see a few.

See the 'honeycomb' image? I can see that being used for lots of things. and of course, an image to color! Gotta love that!

Here is the inside of this card -

A second card - very similar to the first - different size and I changed the wording around.

The butterfly images on both cards are in this set - I stamped them and then fussy cut them.

I am really liking this set ... it is one we will be using at Kreations Klub in January, for sure.
Stay tuned - I have another card to show you tomorrow! My Tree is still up - I have been crafting instead! But - Hey - Taking the Tree down tomorrow for sure.

Take care - Thanks for peeking!

"From the Herd" - sneak peek!

 Good Morning Stampers!
The hustle and bustle is over - we have travelled and returned home safely. The Tree will come down today and hopefully the house will return to some semblance of "normal" ... :0
Just before Christmas a friend of ours had a birthday and this is the card I made him. I used a new stamp set "From The Herd". Because I live on a farm this one appealed to me! And, again, it was fun to color!

Aren't they the cutest bunch? I just had to add the googly eyes to them! For the two little ones - the bird and the chicken - I used small pearls with a black dot made with a Sharpie marker - and it worked! Hope you enjoyed this one!

The stripped paper is from a Sale-A Bration package called Irresistibly Yours. It is white paper with a glossy white pattern (6 different designs). Perfect for coloring. All I did here was sponge the piece with Wild Wasabi ink ... and voila - the stripes appeared. There are many ways to color this paper and I'll be showing you some of them over time!

If I don't get back before New Years Eve - have a great New Years and I will see you in 2015!

Blessings and Hugs!

Kindness is Love - sneak peek...

Hey there! "Kindness is Love" is another new set from the Occasions 2015 catalogue. It is an 'a la carte' set ... meaning just the one stamp. Again this was a fun and simple one to color!
Here is the card I made with it...

I love Christmas Eve - we spend family time with hubby's family - reminiscing and eating Rapure Pie or Rappie Pie as it is usually called. "Rapure" means "to grate" ... and when making one the old fashioned way the [potatoes were peeled, grated, and then squeezed to remove the starch from them. I have only done this once a long time ago - I was just the assistant!
After this we go to the Christmas Eve Service at church - which is always a beautiful time!

Dear Ones, on this Christmas Eve may you Know the One whose birth we celebrate; and may you experience His Blessing in your life!

HUGS!

Moon Lake Sneak Peek

Hi there stampin' friends!

Are you ready for the big day? I am heading to town to do a couple things for hubby that he hasn't had time to do! I'll be glad when that's over.

On to some Sneak Peeks for you! The set I used here will be available in the Occasions Natalogue that goes live on January 5, 2015. WOW! can you believe it? 2015! It is called Moon Lake and as soon as I saw it I knew it had to be mine. As you know, I love to color and these are such simple images to color. Yesterday I made a set of 3 cards to give to a Hostess friend - we will be having Christmas dinner with a bunch of friends and I wanted something to give to the hostess.

So without further ado - here they are:

I can see using these images for Birthdays, Thank Yous, Just Because, Sympathy....and so on. There are also a couple of sentiments in the set which you will see at some point.

Between now and the New Year I will have a few more sneak peeks for you so you will have to just be faithful in checking back here occasionally.
May you all have a wonderful Christmas time; may His Joy and Peace fill your hearts and homes!

Blessings,
Ruthie

A Set of Note Cards

Good Morning...
I didn't expect to be back here so soon! :0
Yesterday I had my final pedicure for 2014; I cleaned up the Kraft Korner and put all my Christmas stamps away; organized all the new and old 12 x 12 DSP I have by filing it in the file cabinet and freeing up some space ... and then felt inspired to use this stamp set. This set had not seen ink yet! I have had it for probably a couple months but had not used it b/c I was making Christmas cards!

Here is a set of blank note cards I made for a friend - and as I'm writing this I am thinking of others I might give such a set to!

As I worked with this set I was so reminded of God's plan for me - for us.... to show love to the world, to be His light, to be thankful and joyful in all things because of His presence! YEA!

Have a blessed day! I am off to town to finish up odds and ends of stuff! I hope its not too crazy out there - if it is I will return home real quick!

HUGS

Final Christmas Cards for 2014

Well, Folks.
As the title states - here are my final cards for 2014. I didn't get as many made as I have other years, but you know what? That is OK. My life has been filled with family and friends ... and food ... and laughter! We have had a wonderful December thus far - actually, it all started the last week of November and there is no end in sight as of yet. Had family visiting this past weekend - what a blessed time; and more fam this weekend! YEA! Gotta love all that! Christmas next week and then we head for the city for a few days! Keep praying for this awesome weather to hold til January!

Well - on with it I say!
Here is the little Shepherd boy - isn't he the cutest?

We made this at our November Klub - Cindy brought this one for us to make ! it's a beauty!

Just a simple JOY!

A pretty wreath hangin' in the window!

Last but not least ... this little girl is on the card I have made for Madison this year! I love to color so this was fun to do!
-

Now I am off to clean up the Kraft Korner - put the Christmas stuff away. I have a parcel from Stampin' Up! arriving tomorrow with some new product from the Spring Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogues... stay tuned - I may give you a couple peeks at some of it before the New Year rolls around.

May you all have a blessed Christmas! May there be peace and joy in your hearts!
Blessings and Hugs,

A Project Completed ...

Well, Peeps...
The project is complete! Such a fun thing to do! I apologize for the poor quality pics - I just took them and the light wasn't good.

The final four card fronts for framing - Enjoy.

Next week I will be working on some other things. Today, as demos, we got a chance to see the new Occasions Catalogue which goes LIVE in January 2015. I think you will like it. So I put in a pre-order - now to wait a couple weeks for it to be here! And YEA! I achieved a free stamp set for November and was able to order from the Occasions catty! Gotta Love That!

Have a great weekend ... see you back here next week. Maybe things will slow down a little so I can do a challenge or two next week - Oh wait! What was I thinking? That won't happen - James and Carla are coming for 4-5 days! YEA!

Hugs and Blessings!

- For Framing!

Hey there Peeps!
Well! Here it is December! Are you ready for the big day! I think this is the first year that my tree HASN'T been decorated by the 25 of November... I do have a few decorations up ... and the tree has been sitting in the living room - I turn the lights on and quite like it like that. Ummmmmm ....

Been busy in the Kraft Korner - although you wouldn't know it by the blog would you?

Here are some 'card fronts' I have made for framing ---
Well! Having said that, this may take a while as blogger is very slow in responding if it responds at all!

They are so much prettier "in real life"!

Such fun to do  - but not fun getting them here for you to see! Wow! That was a test in patience! :0

I trust you have enjoyed your peek here today... Thanks for visiting with me!
I will return by the end of the week with more cards... almost done my Christmas cards and have a couple birthday cards to make as well as "all occasion" ....

See you later - have a great week!

November Kreations Korner Klub

Hey!
Klub meets today - here are 3 of the 5 projects we will be doing today! Enjoy...

This first one is made with the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and framelits... and a little Washi Tape.

The JOY on this card us also from the Wondrous Wreath framelits.

I call this one the WaterColor Wisemen! A little messy - but oh so fun  to do. Each one turns out different. They are following the STAR!

I have been commissioned by a friend to make 10 "vintagy" card fronts for her to frame as gifts. They will probably all be different as I am not one to sit and make a bunch of cards all the same! I will let you see the end result in a couple weeks.

Keep following the STAR and have a blessed weekend!

Snowy Scene

Hey there Stampers!
It has been a little over two weeks since I showed you anything here! I don't know where the time has gone - but it has been full, I do know that!

I have a card for you today that is almost exactly copied from one made by Karen Squires at www.staminbythebay.blogspot.com - I saw this on Pinterest yesterday and just had to make one like it!
The stamp set used is "White Christmas" by Stampin' Up!. It is a photopolymer set and I really like how you can see where your images are being stamped!

Here is the card closed - as you can see it is a unique fold. This is called a "stand-up-card" if you are interested in searching out the dimensions, etc. When closed it will fit into a regular size envelope.

This is the card open - I have not put a sentiment on it yet as I'm not sure if I'll use it as a winter card or a Christmas card!

I stamped with Early Espresso; used White Kraft ink to sponge the snow on the ground; used my chalk marker for the flakes and bear and snowman.

I hope you enjoyed your peek here today! As I made this card I was contemplating the serenity and peace found in a winter snowy scene. I cannot imagine having the amount of snow that New York has received in the last couple days! That would freak me out for sure!

Have a great weekend...
Kreations Klub meets tomorrow afternoon - I will post the pics of our projects in the morning for you all to see!
'Til then - Blessings on yah!

Let It Snow - NOT!

Hi Stampers!

I love the sight of new fallen snow! It is so fresh and clean and white! I especially like to see it untouched by footprints. However, I don't like the cold; I don't like driving in the stuff; I don't like sliding around in it! I could easily join the bears and hibernate for the winter!  :0
But then I would miss Christmas - one of my favorite times of year!

I made a couple cards with some house die cuts (non Stampin' Up!) ... these are WINTER cards. I did not put any sentiment on either one because I may use them as birthday or thank you or just a January thinking of you!

I don't think the photos do them justice. They were a little tiddly for me but I had fun and had glitter everywhere by the time I was done.

I colored in the trees and the roof lines to coordinate with the DSP used. Then added glitter everywhere!
I hope you enjoyed your peek here today!

Hugs...

Merry, Merry, Merry... and more

Hi Peeps!
I have been making Christmas cards.... remember the other day I told you I had some packets left over from a Workshop? Well, I have finished them up and have some cards to show you. I hope you are ready for all of this! :)
[I tried to lighten up the photos without much success... sorry]

We made this monochromatic card (with white as the neutral) at Kreations Klub a couple weeks ago ... color is Lost Lagoon. Don't you love the little snowflake charm? They would make great earrings!!!!

This is was the second Make and Take at the Workshop last week - using the Seasonally Scattered stamp set. The technique here is called Reverse Embossing... We heat embossed the stamp in VersaMark and Clear powder ... then sponged with Pear Pizzazz ink (it is much prettier in reality).

Now for the rest of the cards I made - mostly with the same supplies as the workshop card.
A friend visited a stamping outlet and brought me some ink pens that have glitter in the ink - I used the silver one here. Can you see the glitter?

This card is pretty basic - added some Lost Lagoon ribbon and pearls - and sponged in the 'Merry'

I turned the last 2 cards into the "landscape" format ... and used Crystal Effects on this one!

This photo shows the Crystal effects up close!

And - I think I like this one the best! I really like Pear Pizzazz and Lost Lagoon together ... Maybe not your "typical" Christmas colors - but who ever said I was predictable or typical?  :0

I hope you enjoyed your peek here today!
Thanks for stopping by -
Leave me a comment below and let me know which one is your favorite!
Blessings & Hugs!

An Eclectic Bunch...

Hey Stampers!
I can't believe it has been almost 2 weeks since I posted here. It has been a busy 2 weeks, I guess. Yesterday was the first absolutely FREE day I have had in a while ... but it has all been good!

This past Monday I had a Stampin' Up! Workshop with some gals who love to make cards and have been at it for a while. So, I spoiled them and we had 2 "make and takes"; one of which I will show you today!

Here is the card the gals made that evening... using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and the Typeset DSP.

I had prepared for 12 attendees and only 8 were there... so I came home with some packets of card supplies. The next day I decided to get these off my desk - not by putting them in a box to use later (sometimes later never comes, it seems) - but by making some cards with the supplies.

Here are the cards I made that afternoon. The first 2 have no sentiment on them yet....

The next 2 are Christmas cards - I had these 2 houses sitting with some "stuff" on my desk ... so I made a "from our house to yours" card! I used the Holiday Home stamp set for this one.

For this card I used a couple of deer that a friend had die cut for me ... The silver glitter pieces were left over from the second "M & T" - which I will show you next week.

I have not been back in my Kraft Korner since Tuesday - hopefully today will see me there for a bit!

Have a great weekend! Don't forget to put your clocks BACK tonight!
Blessings and HUGS!
