HAPPY DAY!

I have made a card using A Happy Thing sale-a-bration stamp set ... love this little bird. I have discovered he is an Australian Bee Catcher Bird and he comes in the most beautiful colors.... many different combos! For this card I have chosen just one combo but will do some of the others over the next few days.

I "goggled" this little fellow .... found some incredible pics - here are 2 .... I based my card on the first pic.

Here is one with a bee -

Now for my card!
Here he is in Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral ... two of my fave colors together.

Inside of the card ............pretty simple with lots of room to write a note -

The card - with sentiment from this set and sequins and pearls and twine. Actually this picture does not do these colors justice!

Thanks for peeking in today!
Have a great weekend!

Moon Lake

Hi Peeps!
I made a couple cards in the midst of the cold and snow we've been having. They reminded me that spring and summer will come, I must be patient.

I took the idea for these cards from one of my fave stampers - LeAnne at weeinklings blog... you can check her out here www.weeinklings.blogspot.ca

First - I stamped the boat image on white card stock.- cut it out with the circle framelites - colored it with blendabilities.
I cut a piece of the SAB Irresistibly Yours DSP for the inside and used 3 shades of blue to color it ... sort of an ombre effect. I also stamped the boat image and some grunge on the Smokey Slate CS after I had cut and embossed it. Once I finished coloring the image I thought this scene needed some birds in the air so I drew them in. Can you see how the colored image is layered over the SS image? Called Spotlighting technique.

Here is the inside with a big white moon to write the note on! :)

I used the same set, image, CS, DSP for this second card but I cut the image smaller, angled the curvature on the front, colored the DSP in greens, and did the boat a different color. Because the colored image is smaller more of the underlying image on the SS is showing

Here is the inside - I didn't want the white piece that I will write on to show when the card is closed so I had to angle it as well.

Thank you so much for taking time to stop in here today!
I hope you enjoyed your visit!
Hugs!

January Klub Kreations!

Hi Everyone ...
Well! I have been very neglectful this month at posting here! I hope you will forgive me for that!  :0

We held Kreations Klub this past Saturday and I wanted to share the cards we made... such fun. I sometimes wish I had the energy to do this twice a month with 2 groups of ladies ... (and men too if they wanted! - wouldn't that be fun!?) I'll have to think on that for spring ----- ummmmmmm

Here we go!
This first card is made with a free Sale-A-Bration set called A Happy Thing ... I have discovered that this little bird is a Rainbow Bee Eater .. found in Australia and some other places as well - but not one we would see. He/she comes in different colors - we used blendies to make him blue! I totally copied this card from one I saw online - really like the "window" effect.

This is a pic of the inside:

Card #2 was made using the emboss resist technique and the stamp set Butterfly Basics - lots of stamping and sponging; the butterfly is popped on the card - but I don't think you see that very well in this pic.

The 3rd card was made using the stamp set "Kindness is Love" ... and a piece of the Irresistibly Yours DSP from Sale-A-Bration which we colored by sponging with Rose Red ink. This could become a Valentines card or a great thinking of you card.

And finally card #4 - sooo pretty in real life! We used the Something Lacy background stamp and Crumb Cake ink, some lace and sequins, and the HELLO from the Hello You Thinlits die set. On the inside we stamped a sentiment from another set that says ... "looking in on you".

Of course, a good time was had by all, with everyone being totally impressed with the new Occasions catalogue!

Well ... Like Bugs Bunny used to say -"tha- tha- that's all folks!" I will see you sooner than later the next time! :)
Blessings and HUGS!

Indescribable Gift

Hi Peeps!
This is my first post for the year 2015! It is a Sneak Peek at a set that will be found in the Occasions Catalogue - which goes live tomorrow! I was going to go play in my Kraft Korner ... but I have had a change of plans.
A while ago I purchased the paint for the kitchen and the porch. Well - Christmas and New Years came upon us and there was not time for painting. BUT - today I have some time, so I will begin the "cutting in" in the kitchen. My original plan was to do the porch first but I so want the kitchen done that I have decided to start there. I am not sure how I will make out cuz I have been experiencing fibro pain for days! But you know what? I will do it as I can - and it will be done when it is done! Hallelujah! That is how I live my life now! And I am thankful that I can still do, and that I know when to stop!

So - Here is the final Sneak Peek --- this is a beautiful set with Easter sentiments. This flower, however, can be used for any type of card! Enjoy!

Such fun to color! This is my take on a card I saw on Sandi MacIver's blog. I followed her lead in stamping the image a second time, coloring and "fussy cutting" a couple of flowers, and popping them outside the frame. I also used a piece of the new SAB designer paper and colored it with Pink Pirouette Blendie.

Stay tuned the rest of the week as there will be more things to share... maybe even a pic of the kitchen!

I trust you are staying warm today! The wind is howling around here and it "sounds" cold! Now - think on that one for a bit! Can you relate to the wind "sounding cold"?

Blessings and Hugs...
